About The Position

We are looking for a Regional Sales Director (APAC) to lead our Singapore-based operations. We seek a hands-on leader who can build and motivate a high-performing sales team while actively driving strategic deals. The ideal candidate is a growth-oriented professional who embodies our values of Impact, Innovation, and Global Collaboration.

This person will own revenue, shape the regional GTM motion, hire and coach the team to excellence, and personally drive initial key deals.

Responsibilities:

As a Regional Sales Director for APAC, your impact will be:

To driving force behind Orca AI’s expansion in one of the world’s most critical maritime hubs. This is a high-impact "Player/Coach" role where you will own the regional revenue and shape the Go-To-Market strategy from the ground up. You will personally lead and close strategic "lighthouse" deals ($500k–$1M+), building long-lasting relationships with industry giants while refining our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) across Singapore, China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia.

Beyond individual execution, you will be a dedicated talent builder - hiring, coaching, and scaling a high-performing team of Account Executives. You will instill a culture of performance and accountability through structured MEDDPICC-based coaching and a consistent operational rhythm. By modeling outbound excellence and partnering cross-functionally, you will drive predictable pipeline growth and navigate the high-paced ambiguity of a startup environment to define the future of maritime operations in the APAC region.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this role?

1. Enterprise Sales & Leadership Experience

  • 7+ years in enterprise sales; 3+ years leading AEs in ENT cycles
  • Track record scaling in APAC markets (Singapore,China, Japan, Korea, SEA), to team of 4+ AEs
  • Proven ability to close $500k–$1M+ deals and guide POVs/POCs

2. Hands-On Sales and Customer Leadership

  • Willingness to operate in “player/coach” mode when needed
  • Must personally lead early lighthouse deals until scale
  • Builds strong, long-lasting customer relationships

3. Talent Builder & Culture Champion

  • Strong hiring ability; recruits/scales top-performing enterprise teams
  • Structured coaching: discovery, qualification, messaging, MEDDPICC
  • Builds a culture of performance, accountability, and honesty

4. Outbound Pipeline and Hunting ability

  • Drives AE outbound pie-gen and models outbound excellence
  • Partners x-functionally to gather resources for pipe-gen
  • Iterates and refines the Ideal Customer Profile for APAC

5. Operational Excellence & Predictable Execution

  • Comfortable in a startup environment (high pace and ambiguity)
  • Enforces high standards for hygiene, qualification, and forecasting
  • Leads a consistent operating rhythm: deal reviews, forecast calls, QBRs

6. Other Requirements

  • Based in Singapore, with 50–70% travel across APAC
  • Fluent English; a second APAC language is a strong plus
  • Plus: Experience selling into Maritime, Industrial, or Operations
  • Plus: experienced with MEDDPICC or Playbook execution
